My Story (so far)
My animation journey started with flipbooks in 3rd grade and grew into a serious passion when I discovered LEGO stop-motion as a teenager in Accra, Ghana. I became fascinated with telling stories one frame at a time, and eventually knew I wanted to pursue animation as a career.
That led me to SCAD, where I earned my BFA in 3D Character Animation and graduated Magna Cum Laude. During my time there, I directed (alongside Andy Ortiz), produced, and animated on my senior thesis, Out O’ the Inkwell, which received the 2022 Southeast Regional Student Production Award for Excellence.
I later joined Studio Zubio in Utah, where I worked across realistic and cartoony styles while gaining a deeper understanding of production pipelines and the technical side of animation. Since then, I’ve worked across episodic animation, filters, virtual influencers, indie games, and AA game cinematics with teams across the US, UK, Ghana, and New Zealand.
I’m especially drawn to stylized feature and cinematic animation, and I’m obsessed with nuanced acting, timing, and the details that make a performance feel real. Outside of work, I’m independently producing my own short film, I Want to Go Home, using Maya and Blender to explore the kind of ambitious animation I want to make.
Having lived in Ghana and across the US, and coming from an American and Lebanese background, I bring a broad perspective to my work. I’m trilingual and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and finding ways to communicate and collaborate effectively.
I’m always looking for ambitious projects, great collaborators, and work worth obsessing over.
